It's been just over two years since Linda Stein was murdered in her apartment on the Upper East Side. Her assistant Natavia Lowery was charged with the crime and has been in custody since—and now Stein's two daughters are suing Prudential Douglas Elliman brokerage for hiring her in the first place.

When we last checked in, Natavia Lowery suggested the killer of her boss, real estate mogul and one-time Ramones manager Linda Stein, was actually Stein's daughter Mandy. While Lowery has doled out a number of scenarios of how the allegedly abusive Stein was murdered, she also confessed to the crime herself—a confession that her lawyers say was taken illegally. The NY Post now reports that "a judge has ruled that confession is admissible, rejecting claims the statement was coerced... a coup for prosecutors, bolstering a circumstantial case strong on motive and opportunity, but lacking forensics." Meanwhile, this past weekend Mandy Stein screened her CBGB documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival. She told the Daily News, "It has been really tough. It's such a huge loss. My mom would be furious if I didn't complete this project. And now, I know, she would be proud."
It has been over a year and Natavia Lowery, accused killer of Linda Stein—to whom she served as a personal assistant, is still pointing fingers and claiming no involvement in the realtor's murder. The Daily News reports that she is telling the NYPD that the 62-year-old Stein was fighting constantly with her daughters. A detective at a pretrial hearing testified: "She said Mrs. Stein had a very rough relationship with her daughters." The 26-year-old Lowery, who has been charged with stealing thousands from Stein, also accused Mandy Stein (pictured), the daughter that found her mother dead that day, of "just looking for money." In the past Lowery has accused a mysterious male, and a ninja as having the blood on their hands. She also confessed herself, but then said it was coerced.
