Senators 5, Devils 4: Few teams hold leads as well as the Devils. Unfortunately for them, that skill doesn't translate to recovering from early deficits. New Jersey trailed for all but 90 seconds of this game and found itself down by four goals at the 16:39 mark. Goalie Martin Brodeur didn't get pulled, but it didn't matter. Patrick Elias missed the game with a cold, but the Devils will need a better start to win......

- Marlins 3, Mets 2: John Maine was the tough-luck loser yesterday in the first game of yesterday's doubleheader against the Marlins. Maine allowed only 6 hits over 6 innings, but three of those hits were home runs. Red Bull New York lost to FC Dallas, 2-1. While the loss was only the 2nd loss of the season for the Red Bulls, they only have one win. The rest of their games all ended in a tie. The Mets will try for the sweep on Thursday afternoon after beating the Phillies 5-4 Wednesday night. David Wright hit a home run for the third consecutive game while Alay Soler won his first career start.......
