Adam Lambert Says He's A Performer, Not A Babysitter

This morning on CBS's Early Show, Adam Lambert spoke out about his AMA controversy (which led to Good Morning America cancelling his appearance). To recap: Lambert simulated a blow job and made out with a male during his performance on Sunday night. The Early Show chose to blur out the controversial acts when running the AMA clip this morning — and during the talk segment, that they decided to call "Straight Talk," the openly gay singer defended his actions.

Is your femoral cutaneous nerve feeling tingly? Is the side of your thigh numb? Are you wearing skinny jeans? Incase you weren't scaremongered enough by the Wall Street Journal piece, Dr. Jennifer Ashton stopped by the CBS Early Show to make "fashion victim" jokes and warn of the health concerns over skinny jeans that are too tight on the legs and groin.

Hillary Clinton may have won more votes in Tuesday’s crucial primaries, but the victories barely made a dent in Barack Obama’s lead, narrowing the gap by only a few delegates. Unless scandal or some other meltdown severely damages Obama, Clinton’s chances of beating him on pledged delegates are extremely difficult.

Fresh off her big night of wins in Ohio and Texas, Hillary Clinton spoke on CBS's Early Show and mentioned the words "dream ticket" in relation to the heated Democratic presidential race. Harry Smith told Clinton, "We talked to a lot of people in Ohio who said there really isn't that significant a difference between you two, and they'd like to see you both on the ticket." After remarking how "incredibly close" the race is, she said pairing up "may be where this is headed, but we have to decide who is on the top of the ticket, and I think that the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me."

CBS and NBC Boldly Go On Line With Classic TV

If you've been paying for Wifi at coffee shops between 42nd Street and Central Park South and between 8th and 6th Avenues, you can start saving up for more grande mocha lattes. CBS will be creating a "CBS Mobile Zone" with free wifi in midtown. In turn, CBS will lead users to an ad-supported homepage. CenterNetworks says that Citi and Salesgenie.com have already signed up. CBS, which owns CBS Outdoor, will wire billbards, MTA displays...

We recently visited Fox News Channel’s morning show Fox & Friends. Unlike most of the other morning shows it is a freewheeling kind of crazy romp that definitely has “Fox attitude”.

As we were away from televisions most of Wednesday, we can’t give a blow by blow account of the storm coverage. However, we can give you a brief summary of some of the major things.

There must be something about the morning shift at WABC. After just four days on the job as the permanent replacement for Steve Bartelstein, Ken Rosato, overslept and was late for the 5 a.m. edition of Eyewitness News. We think it is pretty safe to assume that he just overslept, since he probably hasn’t adjusted his body clock fully to the new hours, and that he wasn’t spending the night out clubbing like his predecessor. We wonder if he brought bagels to smooth things over.

Last week we sat down with Maurice DuBois, anchor of CBS 2 News This Morning and fill in weekend anchor for The Saturday Early Show and The CBS Evening News. DuBois joined WCBS and CBS in 2004 after seven years with WNBC and NBC where he anchored Today in New York, reported for Dateline NBC and filled in on the Today Show.

Two days after Wesley Autey jumped into subway tracks to save another straphanger from an oncoming train, everyone still wants to hear his story. With good reason: Not only is it an incredibly heroic story, Autrey's matter-of-fact explanation for his actions ("it's just being able to be here and help the next person.") and his humble demeanor:

"I don't think I did anything heroic. I just saved a life. I don't call myself a hero because the real heroes are overseas dying for you and me."
Autrey was on CBS's Early Show, which had a crazy computer re-creation of the save. And the re-creation doesn't even show how the savee, NY Film Academy freshman Cameron Hollopeter, was having a seizure at the time!

If you were any where in the Garment district yesterday evening, you may have noticed a huge line of non-New Yorker types outside of the bar, Stitch. And if you are any type of Amazing Race fan, you already know those people were lined up for TARCON 9 (The Amazing Race CONvention). Sponsored by Television Without Pity, the event gives TAR fans a place to reminisce over past seasons, bet on that night's finale, drink at an open bar, and meet some of the race participants along with host, Phil Keoghan... for a small fee, of course.

In this week's weather media wrap up wed like to discuss the now famous face of Dave Price. This once local weatherman, now the CBS Early Show's national weather guy, seems to be doing quite well for himself. A lot of New Yorkers are ambivalent about Dave and Gothamist understands why. Hes such a nerd and not in the hip way but in the 'a bit clueless to pop culture' way. However, there are some other things that you might not know about him that could help you understand him better AND hopefully like him.

Martha Stewart tells Barbara Walters that she hasn't been able to chop up a cabbage after the infamous Early Show appearance after news of her little Imclone thing. During a segment where she was demonstrating how to make a salad, host Jane Clayson was trying to ask her about the scandal but Stewart wanted to "focus on my salad." Now, looking back, Stewart said to Baba Wawa during a 20/20 interview that will air tomorrow night, "To tell you the truth, I have not been able to chop a cabbage since. No more coleslaw for me..." The cabbages are thankful; cabbage farmers are not.
