Child Predator On the Loose, Queens Neighborhood On Alert
Police are looking for a man who is lurking around Queens neighborhoods, assaulting children. First, around 2:30PM on Friday, a man approached three children at a playground near PS 118 in Hollis. He exposed himself to an 11-year-old boy and two 9-year-old girls. The children got away.
Then, at 4:30PM, he grabbed a 13-year-old walking home from school near 110th Avenue and 195 St. and pulled her into an alleyway and attacked her. Police say he threatened to kill her if she didn't perform a sex act. A woman who lives two houses away from the attack told WABC 7, "I'm not shocked to hear about things like that happening today, but I'm really shocked to hear about that in the neighborhood."
Police have issued a child predator alert and are looking for the suspect, who is described as being in his 20s, 5'8", and 160 pounds, wearing a black jacket and black knit hat. He also has markings on his face; tips for the police can be made to 800-577-TIPS. The Daily News also reported that the playground at PS 118 had been dedicated by the Fund for Public Schools and NY Giant Amani Toomer last fall, "hailing it as a safe place for children to play."

Why not give the race of the suspect, or is political correctness more important than the saftey of children?
It's a double-edged sword: if the race is mentioned, then Gothamist gets lambasted for being racist.
(The "issued a child predator alert" link provides the race.)
Quick, get perverted justice on the line, wait, they won't work for under $100K and gourmet food for the fatties behind the computer.
