Pencil This In

ART: Projecting on the outdoor walls of MoMA through February 12th will be Doug Aitken's first large-scale outdoor installation in the US. The installation consists of eight large moving projections in which five characters' lives are played out during one night in New York. Actors include: Tilda Swinton, Chan Marshall (Cat Power), Seu Jorge, Ryan Donowho, and Donald Sutherland.

We hear Cat Power will be playing a show at MoMA in February - stay tuned!

5 to 10pm // MoMA [11 W 53rd St] // Free

THEATER: Lillian Hellman’s rarely-performed Toys in the Attic is being revived by the Pearl Theatre Company. The play follows a day in the stifling life of a New Orleans family – two spinster sisters and their contempt for deadbeat brother Julian. Things heat up when Julian returns home with a suspiciously-procured fortune and a new wife the sisters cannot stand. The Times deems it “excellent.” - John Del Signore

7pm // The Pearl [80 St. Marks Place] // Tickets are going fast

2007_01_arts_falloutlohan.jpgMUSIC: The UK is just pumping out the female pop/rock/rap stars. We still prefer MIA to any of them, but are interested in checking out the latest, Amy Winehouse, tonight. She's got a bit more soul and integrates jazz in to her sound - which already sounds better to us than Lady Sov.

9:30, 11:30pm // Joe's Pub [425 Lafayette St] // $12

PARTY: Fall Out Boy are in New York tonight playing Hammerstein. Hopefully Pete Wentz will lose his sh*t again and party extra hard at the afterparty, which is at Marquee. Not a surprise since he's dating Ms. Lohan (unconfirmed!) now (a relationship doomed from the start because there is no cute way to mash up the names Pete Wentz and Lindsay Lohan). Check out the happy couple to the right, and maybe in person tonight if you RSVP.

11pm // Marquee [289 Tenth Ave] // RSVP to ap@skynewyork.com
