Alan Hevesi's Mug Shot

2006_12_hevesifront.jpg

2006_12_heveside.jpg

We'd describe recently resigned State Comptroller Alan Hevesi's expression (and posture) as "Worst Day Ever."

Danny Hakim at the NY Times' Empire Zone blog says the two biggest bombshells from this morning might be that Hevesi now admits he never intended to reimburse the state for the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on chauffeuring his wife and that Albany County DA David Soares says, "Since attaining these convictions, we've received a number of tips of improprieties taking place not only in state government but in local government as well."

For more mug shot fun, check out The Smoking Gun's gallery of mug shots.

He should take mugshot-modeling lessons from Tom DeLay.

Tom Delay's mugshot was a glamourshot...there will never be any competition

Talk about a square...

I actually wrote a song while in Rikers (at $10,000 a month per inmate, it's the most expensive Riker's Colony, er, WRITER's colony on earth! They even have free dental in there!) called 'Smile For Your MugShot' (excerpt: "even if the po-lice brutalized you / and your broken body aches a lot / you MUST concentrate on the Big Picture / and Don't forget to smile for your mugshot" ---it's a children's singalong) I'll have to send a copy to Alan.

It's really annoying that every single politician breaks thousands of laws and yet Hevesi is one of the few who gets totally taken down.

WHEN is Bloomberg and Rudy going to go to prison for their thousands of criminal convictions? (Oh that's right: professional courtesy keeps them free despite the mountains of proof that they murdered Ground Zero rescuers; foster kids; elderly people; most victims of murder; 343 firemen on 9/11; most victims on 9/11 (who Rudy's stellar 911 operators told to NOT evacuate); I can go on forever. If you don't know about all their criminal convictons ask me for details: Mayorcxb@yahoo.com)

Just the other day the media claimed "a jury found The City guilty" of federal violations for illegally kidnapping, er, "detaining" civilians during the RNC.

HOW exactly did The City do this? The trees and buildings and citizens didn't falsely jail people nor do it too long.

NYC today is far worse than Nazi Germany. At least there was SOME dissention (sp) under that naked emperor.

Sheesh.

OH YEAH... these look like similar "mugshots" to bernie kerik, who Bloomberg cronies and other govt frauds insisted was treated no differently than ordinary criminals.

But ordinary criminals don't get their mugshots in the DA's office. WE sit in jail overnight and are illegally tortured (according to the state dept).

WHEN will you New Yorkers begin to learn that media and govt never tell the truth??

[author gives up hope]

and new yorkers elected this scumbag...

Why does Gothamist even bring this up? Yeah, he's a crook and he's slime, but they just can't win with these mug shots. If he's slouching, you mock his body language as "Worst Day Ever." If he stood up straight, you'd call him remorseless, unrepentant and arrogant. Typical human nature. Schadenfreude. No matter what his posture, you'd be picking on him. Just hope you're never at the business end of that lens, because others will certainly be just as mean-spirited to you.

I admire his posture.
