Extra, Extra

- Our acquaintances over at The Morning News have developed the city's most hilarious holiday t-shirt: "The Squirrel That Ate Christmas". Buy one today!
- Today on the Gothamist Newsmap: many suspicious packages all over town, a motorcycle accident on East 47th Street, and a jumper down on East 20th Street.
- We're not sure what's happening in this photo, but it may well be the cutest thing we've ever posted to Gothamist.
- AMNY has a great piece about endangered NYC buildings, including public schools, houses of worship, an automat building on 104th and Broadway, and the 1964 World's Fair Complex. Don't miss the photo gallery.
- Apparently Judith Regan was fired for making an anti-semitic remark-- she said a "Jewish Cabal" was plotting against her! That whole OJ thing probably didn't help, though.
- Sheldon Silver is the new Robert Moses-- his vote will determine if the Atlantic Yards gets built.
- There have been a rash of thefts at the Park Slope Food Coop, and some "unnamed members [are] saying that those who appear to be outsiders (which some read to mean poor blacks) are not being carded at the door because the co-op’s members (which some read to mean privileged whites) are afraid of looking racist, resulting in purse-nabbings."
- Good news for LIRR riders on the East Side: the federal government is giving NYC $2.5 billion to build an LIRR terminal at Grand Central.
- Whale vomit is worth as $10/gram, which means a lump owned by a pensioner in Montauk could be worth as much as $18,000! If only kitty throw-up was worth that much, we'd totally be able to quit this blogging thing.
- Eugenia Klopsis is an EMT in Brooklyn-- she's been writing some amazing pieces for The Sun.
- Time to panic: The Audubon Society's Christmas Bird Count revealed "the numbers of Eastern Meadowlarks and Ring-necked Pheasants have plummeted from what they were in decades past."

Whale vomit is worth $10 a gram, but how much is your sh*t worth? find out here.
Ambergris isn't vomit, and it's always been very valuable...
she said a "Jewish Cabal" was plotting against her!
She meant Jewish Kabbalah. It's all the rage you know.
