Extra, Extra
- Of course one of the passengers on the Fung Wah bus that crashed in Massachusetts would sue
- Sad story of the man who bashed in the head of an off-duty police officer last week with a pipe and whose life went from MIT and i-banking to homelessness and hospitals
- Sara Ramirez, known as the Lady of the Lake in Spamalot as well as "Callie" on Grey's Anatomy (yes, the weird doctor who lives at the hospital but who rules because she's got a spine), talks to New York and basically steals our heart
- City Council discussed bed bugs today
- The Fire Patrol will be shut down soon, even though they save $100 million in property (their operating expenses are $8.8 million - go figure!)
- A plane with a promotional banner for the NY Knicks had to make an emergency landing on a S.I. beach yesterday; the pilot dumped the banner, which sounds about right for the Knicks' prospects this year
- And on a final non-NYC-but-big-movie-fan note, Chicagoist has a very special Get Well Roger Ebert project. Add your photograph of you giving the thumbs-up to the Get Well Roger Flickr Pool to let the recuperating critic know you care! And Roger definitely knows about it - it's on his website, too!
Photograph of possibly the largest pickle ever from ranjit on Flickr

That sort of looks like Dana Delaney, with the pickle.

when you hold a gherkin of that size do you consciously invite phallic jokes? I say yes.
Gotta get those bedbugs out!
Ha! I asked Ranjit about that photo over dinner tonight. Sorry Jen, it's only paper mache.
Is that a gerhkin in your hands or are you just happy to see me?
I could go on like this all day... and just might...
btw - this is the 6th Annual Pickle Day!
