Gay Pride Parade Shines Through Rain
Thousands of people (WNBC says 500,000!) lined Fifth Avenue and Greenwich Village streets to enjoy this year's Gay Pride Parade, in spite of a bit of rain. In fact, one performer on the "Carnival in Rio" float told the NY Times, "Today is our day. The rain won't stop us. Mother Nature is a drag queen." One of the stars of the parade was Kevin Aviance, the drag queen who was brutally beaten by some teens in the East Village. A parade parade spectator deemed Aviance, who was wearing red high heels, silver shorts, a white jacket, and sparkly silver top hat, "fabulous."
Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the parade co-Grand Marshal, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, both spoke about gay marriage. The Mayor said that if the Court of Appeals says gay marriage is legal, the city will "start issuing marriage licenses immediately," but if the court rules that it's not allowed via the State Constitution (the Mayor had been saying all along that the city would follow the constitution), he would "go to Albany and lobby." Newsday describes Speaker Quinn has offering "no specific action," simply saying, "What I do know is we have a very active community that's working very hard on this issue, that we will continue to press the issue forward and we will do that with a multi-pronged strategy."
Politicians showed up in full force: Senators Clinton and Schumer, City Comptroller WIlliam Thompson, Attorney General hopefuls Mark Green and Andrew Cuomo, Representative Anthony Weiner, and many other City Council members. And the Empire State Pride Agenda endorsed gubernatorial frontrunner Eliot Spitzer; Spitzer has been a vocal supporter of same sex marriage.

Is it normal for lesbians to let themselves go like that after they come out of the closet?
Well, there are many women, gay and straight alike, who have stomach pooches. Stomach pooches do not discriminate! If you go through the Flickr pictures, many of the bodies on the parade goers are sick.
When you mean sick, do you mean sick like in Cushing's disease? Isn't abdominal weight gain a sign of that? (it was just on the show unknown diagnosis on TLC)
Well, at least their not afraid to show off their bodies. Besides it was too Hot to cover up.
I'm glad Kevin Aviance was able to make it. His attack was a despicable thing.
I certainly hope you guys aren't impugning the hotness of lesbians. Lesbians are hot; pooches, guts whatever. Let me reiterate for the record: Lesbians Are Hot. And that's all I have to say about that. Also, women in general, gay or straight, are pretty awesome.

Lesbians ARE hot, but not all, especially that woman in the pic. But if you wanna make out with that woman, go right ahead.
Power to her for not giving a crap about what other people think, but it really hurts my eyes looking at that gut.
Kojak, it's the lack of diffidence and deference towards men. This might be a personal problem, but there's nothing hotter than a woman that wants nothing to do with you. Okay, that is a personal problem, but it doesn't make lesbians less hot.

I would Ghandi, but if I did any woman who viewed the picture would immediately have multiple orgasms and all men who viewed it would pop boners, regardless of their sexual orientation.
