Extra, Extra

2006_04_29_stillwellPOSNEG.jpg

- The photo the Times runs of Representative John E. Sweeney at a frat party in Schenectady is an instant comedy classic to be cherished. Seriously, give it a good long look.

- Amazing photographs and stories from today's enormous anti-war march are coming in, for example.

- That drunk-driving diplomat who hit a cop last week? Diplo immunity apparently doesn't mean he still can't get sued in federal court. Though since Illya Sergeyevich Morozov is already back in Russia, we suspect that this is still the last we'll hear of it.

- The son of the SI Borough President was found dead in his kitchen early this morning.

- A 4-year-old boy was seriously wounded by three dogs yesterday on Long Island.

- Huh. NYC is getting set to sue India for back taxes.

- Sure, Molly the cat is safe. But what about the giant holes in the ceiling?

- And now people are getting viruses from stolen body parts. Seriously MiMi, you can't make this stuff up.

- And as the radio tower came down the Botanical garden rejoiced and was happy.

- But really, is that snapshot of Sweeney and Alpha Delts not priceless?

- Relive the joys of the NFL Draft thanks to the miracle off blogging.

- Also, scariest cat ever?

That frat party photo is breathtaking. It's so good it could go in The Onion (the random guy in the background reminds me of the pothead on the podium in the article about drugs winning the War on Drugs)

I thought something was done about diplomatic immunity back in the early 90s when a drunk driving diplomat struck and killed a citizen in DC. I believe it was in the Dupont Circle area. I remember it was a huge deal back then.
