Man Surrenders in Bronx Toddler's Death

2006_04_bronxpts.jpgA man involved in the shooting death of a 2 year old boy surrendered yesterday in the offices of a Bronx cable station, News 12. Nicholas Morris, 26, denied he shot David Pacheco Jr. in an interview with News 12 (he says he was blocks away), but Morris and another man, Ronneil Gilliam, had been identified as being in the group. Morris said he wanted to tell News 12 what happened before he would speak to the police who would mis him up. Apparently two aruging groups' initially exchanged "hard looks", which then turned into trashtalking and slaps - then gunfire on Easter Sunday, and then one of the bullets hit the minivan carrying the Pacheco family. Police are still looking for Gilliam.

The Pacheco family thanked the off-duty EMT who stopped to help them, as well as the livery driver who drove them to the hospital. However, the press conference was emotional: Pacheco's mother, Joanne Sanabria, said about her son's killers, "Every night when you go to sleep, you [will] see my son's face and hear my voice. I don't want you to ever forget that. This is your death sentence, hearing me."

*Nicholas Morris, 26, denied he shot David Pacheco Jr. in an interview with News 12 (he says he was blocks away)* which is allegedly less than a mile.

A bullet from a gun travels faster than the speed of sound, and depending on the gun used, the bullet can travel more than a mile with no obstructions.

"With modern propulsion techniques, the projectile's initial velocity may be as high as 4000 feet (1200 meters) per second for some rifles and 5000 feet (1500 meters) per second for some large guns." —Ballistics. The World Book Encyclopedia. New York: World Book, 1998.

I bet Nicholas Morris diesn't know the first thing about weaponry. In fact I'm willing to bet he never cleaned his weapon properly.

Ronneil Gilliam
YOU are the one who caused this
YOU are the pig who couldn't hold your tongue
YOU are the one who called nick
YOU are the one who gave him the gun
YOU are a piece of garbage
