Building Collapse And Other City Accidents

Wild day of accidents today. Most notably, there's the residential building collapse at 108th and Lexington that has disrupted subway service on the Lexington line. Sixty-five people are out of a home. More details at WNBC.
- A driver was trapped by scaffolding when he somehow drove his car into a building at West 113th and Amsterdam. The police needed to remove him. The driver's injuries were minor, and was not charged with anything. His insurance will probably wreak the most havoc - he also crushed a few cars.
- And a 60 year old man died when he fell from a construction crane. He had been trying to repair the crane at a building site at 9th Avenue and West 53rd Street.

Couple of pictures from the scene of the building collapse.

BUT...Homeland Security has lowered NYC's Threat Assessment to yellow from orange ('elevated' instead of 'high'). I feel so safe now. God bless those Republicans, they work so fast. Don't worry..be happy....
