Illegal Fashion Fad: Jelly Kelly
Everyone is clambering for the rubber take on the Hermes Birkin and Kelly bags, nicknamed Jelly Kellys, and now they are practically as hard to get as the real things, as the Post reports. The Times wrote about designer Steven Stolman's master stroke of importing the rubber satchel from Italy, to sell at high-end retailers like Henri Bendel's, but then was faced with cease-and-desist letters from Hermes. Of course, this has created even more demand for the poor-girl's Hermes bag. Now Jelly Kelly-type bags are on eBay, as well as other retailers like Shop Intuition. And no, Gothamist doesn't know where else to get them - sorry.

I have just returned from Rome, Italy on holiday and I have quite a collection of jelly kellys to sell. These are real jelly kellys from Italy, hand pick and purchased by myself for myself but I have to many. I am not a wholesaler or retailer but I do know what I like. Can ANYONE tell me which are the real jelly kelly bags? I have seen 2 different styles.
1. One that has the 2 straps coming from the sides and that are able to be locked. (like the real Hermes Kelly bag)
2. Then there is one on www.jellykelly.net which has a different closing all together.
WILL THE REAL JELLY KELLY PLEASE STAND UP?????
Is there even such thing as an original jelly kelly? The term jelly kelly is a nickname and not a brand name. What's the brand name of these so called "original" jelly kelly's? We all know what it means when discussing whether a gucci bag is authentic or fake, but does this apply here? I'm also questioning whether the people who got the trademark for "Jelly Kelly" really were the creators of the bag and didn't just trademark a nickname after the fact.
Any ideas?

I just receieved three jelly bags from
