Airborne Sex

Sex and the City goes high; Photo - Matrix

Following up on stumbling across Sex and the City filming at the Trapeze School downtown, The Sun tells Gothamist that it was Sarah Jessica Parker (as Carrie) who was airborne, with Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall, and Kristin Davis on cheering her on.

The Daily News gets excited about the new season of Sex and the City: Carrie's dating Berger, but Big may be back...

God damn it, why aren't I Kim Cattrall?

aha! i've been wanting to go to that trapeze school... i pass it every time i'm cabbing down the west side highway for client meetings. it looks seriously fun.

now about SATC, there's dish and fun photos in this week's (yes, i've said it) tv guide.

AUGH! That photo of Kristin Davis is disturbing. Since when did TV Guide become Maxim?

So what happens when the circus leaves town? Seems to me several of the girls at last will grasp the hetero-normative happiness that has eluded them because while queerness through middle age is fabulous, in old age it becomes rather sad. In any case, New York sheik definitely will lessen if the only shows glorifying it are bland NBC sitcoms...

Maxim?? Those shots of Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon look more like the Dukes of Hazzard. Even more disturbing!

You know what I truely do not understand: Why have I never seen ads for Sex in the City hair coloring products? I mean, these four women are like a walking joke about blondes v. red-heads v. brunettes v....well, dirtier blondes. When was the last tiem you met four friends who, by themselves, almost totally covered the hair-color spectrum? They just need some jet-black.....

You know what I truely do not understand? The success of the show. It's completely idiotic. And SJP looks more like a drag queen with every passing year. Not that that's a bad thing, but really now.

My usual lament with shows is that there is no Asian girl to fill up some sort of authentic black hair quotient. That's why I'll be auditioning to fill in Lisa Ling's spot on The View.

not if i get there first jen- i'm going to be taking it to the next level by doing my asian-drag impression. let's see starr jones top that.
