Beware of Roommates Installing "Air-Cleaners"

bewarecamera.jpgA Manhattan woman is suing her former roommate for $1 million after she discovered that he had been secretly taping her with a hidden camera while she was in her bedroom. After discovering a camera in what her roommate told her was an "air-cleaning unit", Claudia Pak found more than two dozen video files on his computer of herself "in various states of undress and engaged in activities of a highly personal nature".

The files also revealed that the scheming sicko had tested the equipment on himself, the suit says.

"One video filed consisted of footage of [Tom] in Ms. Pak's bedroom strategically adjusting the camera to capture all of [her] activities," and showed Tom "posing partially nude in what is believed to be his attempt to imitate a nude and unsuspecting Ms. Pak in her bedroom and making sure the camera captured clear footage," the suit says.

The roommate, 38-year-old John Tom, was arrested and charged with unlawful surveillance when Pak called the cops shortly after finding the hidden camera and computer files.

His name is very fitting; a John who's a peeping Tom.

Seriously, is this real? With a name like that, this guy was predestined to get arrested for this.

"Never trust a man with two first names."

Really? What do you have against Jason Alexander? Or Tom Hanks? (Do plurals count?) Kirk Douglas or Michael Douglas? Ron Howard?

Although the name that should really be considered dangerous is Peter O'Toole.

You're trying to be clever, but you didn't do your homework. From IMDB:

"Jason Greenspan adopted the stage name Jason Alexander..."

Tom Hanks? Stretch much?

"Kirk Douglas was actually born Issur Danielovitch Demsky in Amsterdam, New York, in 1916..."

Guess that means Michael Douglas is also not a Douglas.

Ron Howard is the only person you proffered who fits the bill. And I don't trust gingers in general.

I wonder what the highly personal nature item was?
nahhhhh, I know, it's probably tampon insertion, men are sickos.
They did the same thing at a locker room in a mine, and some company put in a hidden cam in the ladies room and mentioned to male employees if they didn't shape up they wouldn't get to see the peepshow. That was the male employee incentive program. No peephole for you.
men are sick if they like to see used tampons.
